Drip Edge Flashings

Drip edge flashings, also known as drip edges, are an essential part of any roofing system. Designed to direct runoff water to the sides, they protect the fascia and soffit from moisture that could pose a real threat, especially to wood, unprotected corrosion-resistant steel or PVC.

These metal strips should be installed along the edge of the roof, just above the gutters. At Northshore Sheet Metals, you will find many types of drip edge flashings, which we offer in up to 4 different materials and more than 20 colors.

Key Benefits of Metal Drip Edge Flashings

  1. Proper water drainage – Drip edge flashings provide excellent water runoff away from the roof. A well-installed flashing should direct raindrops directly into the gutters, which protects the fascia and soffit from rot and mold.
  2. Protection of the roof against wind – drip edges protect the edge of the roof from strong winds that could cause serious damage, such as ripping off asphalt shingles.
  3. Improved curb appeal – with a wide range of Kynar500 coating colors, our flashings are available in many shades. You can choose from reds, greens, blues, whites, blacks or grays. The main limitation is your imagination. For minimalists, we have prepared galvalume flashings, while traditionalists will be pleased with copper sheet metal, which ages with dignity.
