Description

16 oz / 20 oz Copper Gravel Stop Drip Edge Flashing

Gravel stop drip edge flashing is dedicated for use in finishing and protecting flat and low-slope roofs. The specially designed profile ensures that gravel and other loose roofing materials do not settle and fall outside the building’s perimeter onto the ground.

An additional advantage of the gravel stop perimeter edge flashing is its aesthetics – the protruding element gently masks installations that are often found on roofs – from street level, you will see nobel, shiny copper flashing, and not outlets from HVAC installations or chimneys.

0.022″ / 0.27″ Copper Gravel-Stop Drip Edge Flashing Features

Our engineers have perfected the ideal proportions of all the bends in this gravel-stop drip edge flashing to maximize its performance in both protecting the building from water leakage through possible leaks and retaining gravel or other loose materials that are on the flat roof.

However, the specialized design does not make this type of drip edge flashing perform less well in protecting the roof. Each of the components we produce provides an excellent level of protection for the edge of the roof from damage, and further stiffens the steel coping cap, which will adhere even better to the parapet wall.

As an additional improvement, there is also a kick portion, which effectively diverts runoff water away from the walls. During a heavy rain, up to 250 gallons of water can fall on the roof of an average house. The less of it that hits the fascia and soffit, the better – thus, the life of the trim will be extended.

How to Use Gravel Stop Drip Edge Flashings?

Unlike our aluminum gravel stop drip edge flashing and steel gravel stop drip edge flashing, products made of copper do not need a Kynar500 coating. The chemical properties of this metal mean that when you choose T-profile flashing, you don’t have to worry about corrosion, color loss, cracking or warping. You get all these features as standard.

The thickness of the sheet metal we use is also not insignificant. Engineers employed by North Shore Sheet Metals have spent hundreds of hours selecting the ideal copper sheet thickness that offers the perfect compromise between weight, bending resistance, brittleness and price. As a result, by choosing gravel stop drip edge flashings made from 16 or 20 oz copper you are assured that your customer will enjoy many years of trouble-free use of their roof, no matter where they live.
