Description
Kynar500 Coated Aluminum Gravel Stop Drip Edge Flashing
Gravel stop drip edge flashing is dedicated for use in finishing and protecting flat and low-slope roofs. The specially designed profile ensures that gravel and other loose roofing materials do not settle and fall outside the building’s perimeter onto the ground.
An additional advantage of the gravel stop perimeter edge flashing is its aesthetics – the protruding element gently masks installations that are often found on roofs – from street level, you will see mostly shiny aluminum sheet with resin-based Kynar500 coating, and not outlets from HVAC installations or chimneys.
Aluminum Gravel-Stop Drip Edge Flashing Features
Our engineers have perfected the ideal proportions of all the bends in this gravel-stop drip edge flashing to maximize its performance in both protecting the building from water leakage through possible leaks and retaining gravel or other loose materials that are on the flat roof.
However, the specialized design does not make this type of drip edge flashing perform less well in protecting the roof. Each of the components we produce provides an excellent level of protection for the edge of the roof from damage, and further stiffens the aluminum coping cap, which will adhere even better to the parapet wall.
As an additional improvement, there is also a kick portion, which effectively diverts runoff water away from the walls. During a heavy rain, up to 250 gallons of water can fall on the roof of an average house. The less of it that hits the fascia and soffit, the better – thus, the life of the trim will be extended.
How to Use Gravel Stop Drip Edge Flashings?
The gravel stop drip edges we produce are suitable for both commercial, warehouse and residential roofs. Depending on the roof panels, fascias and coping caps used, hems can also be useful, which you can select in the product options.
All of our flashings are made from the highest quality materials, which guarantees trouble-free operation for many years. Thanks to the resin-based Kynar500 coating, gravel stop drip edge flashings will last up to 50 years, although typically, they are replaced along with the roof, so after 25-40 years. Kynar500 provides phenomenal resistance to wind, rain, ice, hail and rust, which justifies its slightly higher price. Add to that, this coating offers tremendous customization possibilities – the standard offer includes 26 colors, so you’re sure to find a shade that meets your customer’s requirements.
