0.025″ (24 ga) Galvalume Drip Edge Flashing 10′ long With Kick

Galvalume drip edge flashings, sometimes called “baldy cleat,” are usually used on roofs covered with asphalt shingles, but can also be successfully used in conjunction with rubber, slate tiles and cedar shakes. Drip edge flashing is installed at the edge of the roof, thereby protecting the walls and sheathing from water that, due to adhesion forces, would not normally run off into the gutters. Thus, galvalume drip edge flashings are an indispensable part of any roof and should always be installed.

Each drip edge flashing produced by North Shore Sheet Metals is 10′ long. Upon request, we can make shorter as well as longer flashings.

What Are Drip Edge Flashings?

Galvalume drip edge flashings, sometimes called “baldy cleat,” are usually used on roofs covered with asphalt shingles, but can also be successfully used in conjunction with rubber, slate tiles and cedar shakes. Drip edge flashing is installed at the edge of the roof, thereby protecting the walls and sheathing from water that, due to adhesion forces, would not normally run off into the gutters. Thus, galvalume drip edge flashings are an indispensable part of any roof and should always be installed.

Galvalume Drip Edge Flashing With Kick

The kick portion at the end of the drip edge flashing further improves the channeling of water away from the wall instead of vertically downward. This protects moisture-sensitive trim elements such as fascia and soffit, which could otherwise mold and become covered with debris. The bends on all drip edge flashings manufactured by North Shore Sheet Metals are designed to direct raindrops directly into the gutters as efficiently as possible. This way, you don’t have to worry about the longevity and safety of the roof you’re installing – you’ll be ahead of your competition right from the materials selection stage!

As standard, all the drip edge flashings produced by North Shore Sheet Metals are offered with a kick. However, upon request, we can produce flashings without this element. Additionally, depending on your needs, you can order a 10′ galvalume drip edge flashing both with and without a hem. However, we recommend that you do not give up this element, as it affects both the aesthetics and durability of the entire product, reducing its susceptibility to bending. Regardless of the option you choose, you will pay exactly the same for your galvanized steel baldy cleat.
