Description
24 Gauge Galvalume Nail Strip Standing Seam Roofing Panels
Nail strip snap lock roofing panels, also known as nail flange roofing panels or fastener flange are even better than standard snap lock panels. Perfectly suited for residential applications, they are even faster to install and offer above-average joint durability.
With rows of screw holes spaced every 6 inches, the nail strip panels are perfectly secured to the roof, protecting them from high winds. This easier installation method translates into lower labor costs, greater safety and unparalleled joint durability.
When properly installed, our zinc-coated steel nail strip roofing sheets can be used even where temperatures fluctuate dynamically – the holes allow the panels to expand and contract instead of bending or cracking.
By choosing standing seam nail strip snap lock galvalume roofing panels, you provide your customer with above-average durability and aesthetics, for which you don’t have to take too much money. Thanks to their simplicity, roofing sheets from North Shore Sheet Metals are perfect for anywhere you don’t have time to take care of the smallest details – we’ve taken care of them for you.
Standing Seam Standing Seam Panels – Beauty is in the Simplicity
The engineering team at North Shore Sheet Metals is not in the business of creating technology that no one has ever seen. Instead, we strive to refine already known and proven solutions to perfection. As a result, our flashings, metal roofing panels, gutters and fascia panels impress with their quality, while being reliable and favorably priced.
Using the highest quality 24 gauge galvanized steel sheets, our standing seam roofing panels stand out for their above-average quality and durability. The 0.025” thick steel coated with zinc coating provide up to 45 years of trouble-free service and protects both sheathing and underlayment well. With proper maintenance, perforation of zinced steel is impossible for many years.
Using snap lock technology, nail strip galvalume roofing panels provide a delightful seal in the areas that are most prone to leakage. By crimping the fasteners and being able to add adhesive, snap lock roofing steel panels create a barrier that water cannot penetrate.
How to Use Standing Seam Nailed Galvalume Roofing Panels?
Thanks to a flange with screw holes spaced every 6 inches, our snap lock panels are even easier to install than conventional solutions, plus they offer phenomenal wind resistance. This simple change means that when you choose this product, you get even better performance at a great price.
As with classic galvalume snap lock roofing panels, nail strip panels are recommended for use on roofs with pitch of 3/12 or more. Sheet joints using male and female connectors are very tight and durable, but theoretically speaking, standing water can get through, flooding the sheathing and underlayment. If the roof is adequately steep, this problem does not occur.
In addition, we recommend that you use a slightly thicker sheathing to install this model of roofing panels. The optimal thickness of it is 5/8“, not 1/2”.This makes the entire roof much more rigid, keeping all the joints, which are sensitive to bending, as tight as possible.
Snap lock galvalume panels, like any sheet metal roofing material, are sometimes noisy. However, noise emissions will be much lower if you use a modern synthetic underlayment with increased thickness, which better absorbs vibrations. An additional advantage of such a solution is better thermal insulation, so lower bills for heating and air conditioning of the house.
All of our roofing panels are made from the highest quality materials, which guarantees trouble-free operation for many years. Thanks to the zinc coating, standing seam snap lock panels will last up to 40 years, although typically, they are replaced along with the roof, so after 25-40 years. Galvanization technology provides phenomenal resistance to wind, rain, ice, hail and rust, which justifies its slightly higher price.
